Alan Bowker, BA, MA, Ph.D. is a Canadian educator and former diplomat. Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta [1], he is currently an associate professor at the Royal Military College of Canada History Department where he teaches Canadian history, Canadian external relations and the history of the Cold War and Canadian Foreign and Defence Policy and Civics for the Political Science Department. He is formerly a High Commissioner to Guyana and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Suriname. He published the books entitled Stephen Leacock: Social Criticism and On the Front Line of Life: Stephen Leacock, Memories and Reflections.
